[Project Overview]
The MISHINA Project is a collaboration project with various artists to create three pieces of tableware to be placed on the iron base of the "MISHINA" tableware.
"MISHINA" tableware is a set of three dishes on an iron base that is perfect for serving three appetizers, which originates from the "Shiki Sanken" banquet etiquette that has been used since the Heian period, or for afternoon tea.

The exquisite handiwork of iron artist Um Dimm resonates with each other, highlighting each other's individuality. Designer Yumi Terauchi's philosophy has created a new style of dining, with handles designed for easy serving and a smart height calculated for ease of eating. You can fully enjoy the unique harmony of the designs created by the three parties: ceramic artist, iron artist, and product designer.

This time, we will be unveiling MISHINA tableware created by ten ceramic artists with ties to Karatsu. Karatsu is a coastal region of Saga Prefecture, blessed with abundant nature, both sea and mountains. Karatsu ware is deeply rooted and passed down here. Guided by its charm, those who continue to carry it on are beginning to create new products that respect tradition but are not bound by it. These ceramic artists are sincere in their work, making the most of the shape, color, texture, feel, and materials that fit comfortably in the hand. We will also be introducing tableware that adorns the tables of wonderful ceramic artists with ties to Karatsu. Experience the new world of Karatsu ware.
