This sake cup makes use of the double structure of Ohori Soma ware, a distinctive feature of the "double-baked" technique. The double inner curves come in three different shapes that bring out the flavor and aroma, and the shape of the inside is engraved on the outside, allowing you to visually see the shape of the contents inside.
The rounded, shallow shape evokes a fruity yet gentle roundness. The slightly bitter and astringent taste is accompanied by a rich, mellow flavor. The beautiful pale green glaze is a color reminiscent of Japan. It also makes a wonderful gift for people overseas.

Ohori Soma ware is a type of pottery with a 350-year history dating back to the Edo period, produced in the Ohori area of Namie Town, Futaba County, Fukushima Prefecture. Since being forced to leave due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the craftsman has relocated to a nearby location, where he continues to weave his history.
