SHAQUDA's hometown, Kumano Town, located in the mountains east of Hiroshima, is one of Japan's leading brush towns, dating back to the end of the Edo period.
Kumano brushes are a traditional craft born in the Kumano region, a land blessed with fertile nature and embraced by the scenery of nostalgic rural villages. They embody the essence of brush-making, which has been passed down tirelessly for over 180 years.

SHAQUDA brushes are made using the intuition and experience of a connoisseur, pouring their soul into every single hair, from the "selection" of the finest hairs to the "straightening" of the hairs using skilled techniques, to the "mountain-dashi" process of shaping the various tips using an original wooden tube called a "koma." Usage example
1. Stroke from the center of your face outwards.
Start at the hairline on your forehead and slowly move the brush downwards until you reach your chin line. (3 sets)
2. Stroke from the inner corner of your eyebrows down to the sides of your nose, along the corners of your mouth, and down to your chin. While gradually moving the brush outward, stroke from under your eyes to your chin, and from your temples down to the edge of your ears. (3 sets)
3. Gently stroke from the inner corner of your eye, over your eyelid, to your ear, and around your ear as if you were brushing your hair back. (3 to 5 times)
4. Gently run your fingers from the center of your lips over your lips to your ears, then stroke your fingers around your ears in a circular motion, as if brushing your hair back. (3 to 5 times)
5. Slide the brush from under your chin to behind your ear. From behind your ear, stroke down the side of your neck to your collarbone. (3 sets)
